4 truths about the blessing of children

In Mark 10: 13-16, Jesus blesses the children as he reminds us that the kingdom of God belongs to people like them. This teaches us 4 basic truths. 1. Christ takes the children as an example for mankind in order to remind us to keep a pure heart and trust in God. This means we too must walk toward God with a pure heart and trust in the spiritual teaching that the Son of God offers us. Humility and understanding of God's Word are based on our ability to forgive. He who has a pure heart does not hold a grudge against himself and thus learns to forgive and trust God like children who trust their parents. Whoever has a pure heart and trust in the Lord becomes an eternal inhabitant of the kingdom of God. 2. Another reason that God's Kingdom belongs to children is that children know how to enjoy every moment of life. They are conscious of the present moment and by doing this, they can see the beauty of the world. God teaches us to make good use of every single day and gives us the courage to face all challenges. Then we become productive in His work, we find the joy of life, and we see the world again through the eyes of a child. 3. Christ says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. ”  Here we see that nothing can separate a pure heart from the love of God. Hope in God requires a pure faith, and pure faith allows us to experience God's protection. He who has hope in God knows where he is going because he feels God's blessing. In this way, adults become like the children who were blessed by Jesus and are ready to begin an eternal relationship and cooperation with God. Entering the kingdom of God is through Jesus and it requires a pure heart, joy for life, and hope in God. That’s why Jesus also teaches that “ Truly I tell you, anyone, who will not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.” 4. Children have an innate curiosity and zeal for knowledge. This reminds us that we must have a spiritual thirst and zeal to study and apply God's law. Christ took the children in his arms. This means that Christ encourages us to get out of the spiritual laziness that causes our misery and to begin our way back to God.
