12 life advices from the book of Proverbs

1. The wise man never stops learning. Proverbs 1:5 “let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.” 2. God gives wisdom to the one who respects Him. Proverbs 2:5-6 “then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” 3.  We need to trust God because He knows best what is good for us. Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” 4.  We must guard against envy, slander and cunning. Proverbs 6:14-15 “who plots evil with deceit in his heart he always stirs up conflict. Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.” 5. Arrogance leads to misery. Proverbs 9:12  “If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.” 6.  Hate brings problems while love is the solution to all problems. Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” 7.  Whoever mocks his neighbor, is being foolish. We have no right to make fun of anyone. Proverbs 11:12 “Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.” 8. We must carefully choose the people around us.

Proverbs 14:7 “Stay away from a fool, for you will not find knowledge on their lips.”

9. Difficulties allow us to become spiritually mature.

Proverbs 17:3 “The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but the lord tests the heart.”

10.Don’t be stubborn.

Proverbs 18:2 “Fools find no pleasure in understanding but delight in airing their own opinions.”

11.Let's not be subservient to pleasures.

Proverbs21:17 “Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.”

12. We must not let fear overwhelm us but instead have courage.

Proverbs 28:1“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”
